Project consisted of complete removal
and replacement of underground central plant steam and condensate lines.
The new lines were installed in a pre-cast concrete trench system with
a removable lid. The trench system will provide the university staff
with an efficient method of steam and condensate line maintenance.

New Fire Protection Water Distribution
System

This project consisted of the installation
of water distribution piping to eight campus dormitory buildings for
fire suppression purposes. Site utility work included the installation
of new direct buried ductile iron water piping, fire hydrants, post
indicator valves and appurtenances. Wet-tap connections were made to
existing water mains. Piping was installed underground to a termination
point within each building. Provisions were made inside each building
for connection to each building’s future sprinkler system.

Memorial Stadium Renovation

GJAI Consulting Engineers in conjunction
with The Palumbo Group are providing site utility design to accommodate
the facility wide renovation of Memorial Stadium. Site utility design
for the project includes new sports lighting towers and extension of
storm water and sanitary sewage piping.

Boiler House Addition
Mount Nittany Medical Center

The expansion of the central steam plant
at Mount Nittany Medical Center required an extension of the existing gas
service piping from the service main to the new boiler house addition.
GJAI Consulting Engineers provided the design of the new utility piping.

East Wing Addition
Mount Nittany Medical Center

GJAI Consulting Engineers provide
extensive site utility design for this new 44,000 square foot multi-use
healthcare facility. Site work included relocation and extension of
the existing water service, a new water service for the fire suppression
system and a new sewage lift station. Site lighting and extension of
the facility electrical system distribution was also included. All site
utilities were designed for the future expansion of the facility to
double its current size.
