The new Motel 6 in State College is a
98-unit hotel constructed in 1999 to meet the needs of the region’s
fast growing hospitality market. The Motel 6 features new conference
rooms and guest rooms.
GJAI Consulting Engineers teamed with
James M. Cartey and Stickler Construction for this design-build project.
Highlighted in this endeavor is GJAI and Stickler Construction’s
fifteen-year history of projects involvement. The fast paced construction
schedule required final completion of the project within 9 months of
the start of construction.
GJAI Consulting Engineers provided
all HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection and structural design
services for Motel 6. The systems required emphasis on low first cost,
simplicity of installation and overall energy efficiency.
